How it works
Mobile Showers ILM is entirely volunteer run! We have built the toolkit and are eager to help volunteers establish additional sites. Our knowledgeable team will guide you through the process to identify if mobile showers would be a good fit at your location.
Step 1: Assessment
- Parish asset mapping: is your location ideal for hosting showers?
- Space readiness: is your location outfitted to host mobile showers?
- Congregational readiness: does your group know a lot or a little about homelessness? What might you all need to learn before getting started?
Step 2: Recruit and Train
- Recruit volunteers to help
- Train at an established site
- Prepare your location
Step 3: Get Started
- Begin hosting regularly (we recommend weekly)
- Provide radical hospitality
- Contact the Mobile Showers team when you have questions
